Doi Cat Do-Red Sandhill, Phan Thiet, Viet Nam

We stayed in this Hon Rom, Phan Thiet's resort. We found lots of beautiful scallop shells on the beach, and had an experience that we never forget. During our first night dinner there, the lights went out. It was real dark, you couldn't see a thing. The waitress brought out some candles, and I said: "Wow! dinner by the candle light, how romantic!", but the wind kept blowing "our romantic candles" out every time we got them lighted up (It was a rainy and windy night). Luckily after a few minutes, they got the electricity back on.

Some people rented the small mats to slide down the hill.

Sand Dunes, Phan Thiet.

We spotted this red sandhill near Mui Ne, Phan Thiet. It was a fascinating and unique site. This area is hot, dry, windy, and it receives only little rainfall every year. For a bunch of city folks like us, we have never seen anything like it. We imagined that we had landed on "Mars" or in a "Science Fiction Movie Set." We had so much fun for just being there; taking and posing for pictures.

Beautiful patterns on the sand.
