Can Tho's Floating Market, Viet Nam

Can Tho is famous for its floating market, so we went there to buy some fruits and vegetables.

We had to board the Pha-Ferry similiar to this one to cross the river to get to Can Tho.

The Can Tho's river port.

We hired a boat and boarded here and it took us to the floating market.

We bought some bananas from this lady. They were very sweet. Women in Viet Nam like fair-skin (unlike my children and I, we love to get some tan when we were there) that was why she wore the outershirt to cover her arms even though the weather was very hot on that day.

Anh-Vu had to get on the roof-top of our rented boat to take these pictures.

The long stick advertises what people are selling on their boats.

On the river-bank; shops, resorts, and restaurants were lighted up in beautiful neon signs and colors. The food was great and we loved Vong Co-the traditional southern music that they played.

Can Tho has lots of coconut trees.

The new bridge lies next to the old bridge that has yet to be completely demolished.
