November 7th, 2006's Election

Today marks Anh-Vu's first Eighteenth-Birthday-Right-To-Vote-Day. When he comes home from UC Davis, he will head straight to the voting place to vote for the first time. Last year he went with me to the voting place to familiar himself with the voting machine. This time he is ready and very excited to get his own ballot. I told him to carefully read the Sample Ballot and Voter Information Pamphlet before he votes, and not to vote Yes or No on something he's not sure of. Anh-Vu is neither a Democrat nor Republican - he is an Independent. And so to mark this day, I've collected a few political cartoons for his and your amusement. Cheers! and Happy Voting!

I got these out of a Newsweek Magazine. I included Bush's picture just in case somebody doesn't know who he is or what he looks like. I also cut out the real black & white picture of Foley's mouth when he was an altar boy from the same magazine and glued it on this cartoon. (To enlarge the cartoon, click on the image.)
