Annual Members' Showcase at Berkeley Art Center, Nov. 19-Dec. 21,2006
Sunday the 26th of 2006 was a gray, rainy and cool day. Over one hundred people attended the reception for the Annual Members' Showcase. I had one of my War!Why?Series-the Cambodian war-Genocide (please check out my other War on the November 18, 2005 posting.) I met some of the people there who had the same anti-war-feelings in general. We chatted about the American-Vietnam war, Cambodian and other wars, and had raised the same question--why do we have to have war at all? Of course it is a very complicated question and perhaps the hardest to answer, but a question that needs to be ask, think, and try to solve indeed.
My children-Anh Vu and Hong Bao came to the show with me, they are my biggest supporters of most of the thing I do. There was a lot of lovely art work, and a variety of different media-from photography, painting, sculpture, collage, to mixed-media, water color, and drawing. The show lasts through December 21, 2006 so if you haven't seen it, there still be lots of time to catch it.

Hi Nga,
I visited the Berkeley Art Center today and I enjoyed the show very much. What
a variety! I was interested to see so many mixed media. I particularly enjoyed
your piece...you have a unique perspective.
Have a nice holiday!
Teresa A.
